45ml lemon vodka
15ml triple sec
30ml cranberry juice
10ml lime juice
ice
For the embellishment
orange get-up-and-go, or a lime wedge on the edge of the glass.
Method
1-Shake fixings with ice and strain into a mixed drink glass.
2-To make the topping: hold a 3cm round bit of orange pizzazz about 10cm over your cosmo and cautiously wave it over a lit match or lighter fire. Curve the external edge of the pizzazz in towards the fire with the goal that the orange oils are discharged, at that point drop the get-up-and-go into your beverage.
Formula Tip
TWISTS ON THE COSMO
1. Champagne cosmo: Add a sprinkle of champagne to the completed mixed drink, at that point mix delicately and serve.
2. Blue cosmo: Substitute blue curaçao for triple sec and Ocean Spray white cranberry juice for the standard red. Some blue curaçaos are very sweet, so you might need to up the lime a bit.
3. Tequila cosmo: Replace the vodka in your standard cosmo with a decent quality, 100% blue agave tequila like Ocho or Olmeca Altos.
